Distribution of Electric Scooters under Prime Minister’s Scheme
The Engineering Development Board (EDB), working under the Ministry of Industries and Production (MoIP), has successfully distributed 187 free electric scooters to top position-holder students of government colleges across Pakistan who passed their HSSC examinations in FY 2024. This initiative was carried out under the Prime Minister’s flagship Pakistan Accelerated Vehicle Electrification (PAVE) Scheme, launched as part of the National Electric Vehicle (NEV) Policy 2025–30.
This effort not only celebrates and rewards the academic excellence of outstanding students but also advances the government’s broader vision of promoting sustainable, affordable, and eco-friendly mobility. By linking educational achievement with the adoption of green technology, the PAVE Scheme demonstrates how the NEV Policy 2025–30 is being translated into concrete action, fostering youth empowerment, reducing dependence on fossil fuels, and steering Pakistan toward a cleaner, more resilient, and self-reliant future.
