ENGINEERING DEVELOPMENT BOARD (EDB) HOLDS A MEETING WITH AUTOMOTIVE SECTOR.
The Engineering Development Board (EDB), Ministry of Industries and Production, Government of Pakistan, conducted a meeting with key stakeholders from the automotive sector on August 7, 2025, in the EDB Committee Room, under the chairmanship of Engr. Khuda Bakhsh, Chief Executive Officer, EDB.
The primary agenda item was the consideration of the inclusion of additional WP-29 regulation (i.e., UNECE World Forum for Harmonization of Vehicle Regulations), in continuation of the decision taken during the meeting chaired by the Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) on August 1, 2025.
The meeting was attended by representatives from the Pakistan Automotive Manufacturers Association (PAMA), the Pakistan Association of Automotive Parts & Accessories Manufacturers (PAAPAM), and various Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs). Participation was both in person and via Zoom to ensure representation of all relevant stakeholders.
