Dissemination and Feedback Session on the New Energy Vehicle (NEV) Policy 2025–30 at Lahore.

The Engineering Development Board (EDB), in collaboration with the Ministry of Industries and Production, convened a Dissemination and Feedback Session on the New Energy Vehicle (NEV) Policy 2025–30 in Lahore. The session brought together key stakeholders, including government officials, provincial representatives, industry leaders, academia, and civil society, to deliberate on the policy’s strategic direction.

The NEV Policy targets 30% electric vehicle adoption in new vehicle sales by 2030, aiming to reduce emissions, cut oil imports, and promote green industrial growth. Key elements discussed included consumer subsidies, phased tariff reforms, the establishment of a NEV Fund and Center, and workforce development. The policy’s alignment with global standards and stakeholder-driven design was emphasized, and participants were invited to provide actionable feedback for effective implementation. The event demonstrated the government’s firm commitment to sustainable transport, industrial modernization, and provincial collaboration for a greener Pakistan.
